Pinterest is not another platform to keep up with

Hi,

I used to think Pinterest was just another social media platform.

And honestly, I did not need another thing to keep up with.

Another place to post. Another place to make graphics. Another place to wonder if I was doing enough. Hard pass.

But that was the part I had wrong.

Pinterest works much more like search. People go there looking for ideas, answers, products, plans, and next steps. That changes how we should think about it, especially if you already have content sitting in your business.

Your blog posts, freebies, offers, guides, service pages, podcast episodes, and resources do not have to disappear after one post.

They may just need a clearer path.

I wrote this week’s blog post to explain the shift:

Pinterest Is Not Social Media

If Pinterest has felt like one more platform you should be using but do not fully understand yet, start here. This post explains why I look at Pinterest differently and why it can be useful for business owners who already have content worth finding.

After you read it, take one small next step:

Look at your Pinterest profile and ask, “Would someone quickly understand what I want to be found for?”

If the answer is “kind of?” or “absolutely not,” that is exactly why I made the free Pinterest Profile Checklist.

P.S. You do not need to become louder online. Sometimes the better next step is making your best content easier to find.
